Getting started

From download to first words.

Use the TTF files in your desktop apps and the WOFF2 files on your website. Start with the ZIP from your purchase receipt.

01 / Open the package

Unzip it first.

After a completed purchase, follow the download link on Payhip or in your email receipt. Save the ZIP, then extract it: on Windows, right-click and choose Extract All; on macOS, double-click the ZIP in Finder. Work from the extracted folder.

A single-style package contains that style. A family package contains the related styles named in its listing. The Standard, Studio and Company tiers change the named-user allowance, not the drawing or file formats.

TTF

Install these files for desktop design, writing and layout applications.

WOFF2

Use these files for licensed web embedding. They are not the files to install in your desktop font menu.

The useful extras

Keep the README, character list, metadata, specimen proof and font-license.txt. Some designs also include joining or layer instructions.

Keep your receipt and an unmodified backup of the ZIP. The receipt identifies your licensed styles and user tier.

02 / Desktop

Add the fonts to your computer.

Windows

  1. Open the extracted folder and find the .ttf files.
  2. Right-click a TTF and choose Install. Repeat for each purchased style you need.
  3. Check Settings → Personalization → Fonts, then reopen your design or writing app and select the typeface.

Microsoft’s font installation guide

macOS

  1. Open the extracted folder and double-click a .ttf file.
  2. Choose Install in Font Book. Review any validation or duplicate warning.
  3. Repeat for the styles you purchased, then reopen your app and select the typeface.

Apple’s Font Book guide

Install the files only for people covered by your licence. An app may group related styles under one family name or list them separately. These general steps are not a promise of compatibility with every application; check your intended software and the package README.

03 / Web

Load the supplied WOFF2.

Upload the purchased WOFF2 to your website’s font assets, then declare it with @font-face. Here is a Regular-style example using Sunday Patter. Replace the path and family name to match your own licensed files.

@font-face {
  font-family: "Sunday Patter";
  src: url("/fonts/SundayPatter-Regular.woff2") format("woff2");
  font-style: normal;
  font-weight: 400;
  font-display: swap;
}

.headline {
  font-family: "Sunday Patter", sans-serif;
  font-weight: 400;
  font-synthesis: none;
}

The example assumes the file is at /fonts/SundayPatter-Regular.woff2 on your own domain; it is not a download link. Use the exact filename, style and weight in your package README. Each supplied style is a separate static font, with no variable axes.

Add a separate @font-face rule for each style you own. For Sunday Patter Bold, use its Bold file and font-weight: 700. An italic needs its supplied italic file and font-style: italic. Changing a CSS weight does not create a new designed style. font-synthesis: none prevents the browser inventing missing bold or italic forms.

If the font does not load, check the filename, URL and your browser’s Network panel. A font served from a different domain also needs appropriate cross-origin access. Keep desktop TTFs and ZIPs out of public download folders and public repositories.

Use the WOFF2 from your purchased package. The fonts displayed in our online testers are previews, not a trial licence or a source of files to copy into your project.

04 / Troubleshooting

A few things to check.

The font is missing from my app.

Check that you installed the extracted TTF, then close and reopen the app. Look under both the family and style names. Some apps manage fonts themselves; follow that app’s installation guidance if it does not use system fonts.

I still see an older version.

Check the version in the new package README and look for duplicate installations. Keep a backup before replacing a purchased font. On Windows, review the font under Settings → Personalization → Fonts. On macOS, use Font Book’s File → Resolve Duplicates → Resolve Manually and inspect which copy to keep. Reopen the affected app afterward. Do not remove unrelated system fonts.

Bold, italic or a character looks wrong.

Confirm that you purchased and installed that specific style. Avoid an app’s simulated bold or italic when no matching style is supplied. Check the product’s alphabet sheet and the included character list for the exact character you need; the collection does not cover every script.
